Tobago snorkeling advices
Tobago snorkeling is one of the favorite tourist activities on a Tobago holiday. Whether it's off the boat or right off the beach, Tobago snorkeling is a perfect way to experience the beauty of the underwater world.
If you’ve never experienced snorkeling before, don't worry. Equipment and instruction can be found at almost any hotel.
If you plan to snorkel off the beach, having your own equipment is a big plus: many of the best Tobago snorkeling areas are isolated, far from places where you can rent gear. If you can float and you like to have fun, you'll love Tobago snorkeling. |

Tobago snorkeling - fun and relax for you and your family
Tobago offers many wonderful spots for snorkeling. Although the reefs around Speyside in the northeast are becoming better known, Buccoo Reef, off the island's southwest coast, is still the most popular -- perhaps too popular. Over the years the reef has been damaged by the ceaseless boat traffic and by the thoughtless visiting divers who take pieces of coral as souvenirs. Still, it's worth experiencing, particularly if you have children. Daily 2½-hour tours by glass-bottom boats let you snorkel at the reef, swim in a lagoon, and gaze at Coral Gardens -- where fish and coral are as yet untouched. Most dive companies in the Black Rock area also arrange snorkeling tours. There's also good snorkeling near the Arnos Vale Hotel and the Mt. Irvine Bay Hotel.
